Project management centre

Project management centre (PMC) is an organization department of "Karbon" company which is occupied with standardization of the project management practice of the company. For this purpose a unified technology, terminology, and cooperation scheme is introduced so that the managers in charge of the project realization could understand each other freely. Aside form the separate projects PMC is occupied with management of the main project portfolio of "Karbon" company and its organization departments, defines the methodology of the repeating processes, and distinguishes the most effective methods for the further application thereof in practice.

The main functions of PMC

  • Project support: supplying the department managers with the instructions on project management.
  • Project management process/methodology: development and realization of an adequate and standardized process; interest to the experience of domestic and foreign companies; analysis and control of the project realization; managing the changes in the projects.
  • Training: providing the management with the training programmes; consulting on the emerging questions; training on the project management methods. For raising the level of skills of the staff creation of a certified training centre "Prof. Teslya School" was initialized. The main activity of the centre is certification of our key-men on an international level.
  • Software tools of project management: monitoring of work of the members in charge of the branch-offices in the process of work with automated systems; providing of advisory support to the users of project management software tools.
  • Control and regulation of assets portfolio: determining of project management staff that can coordinately manage the related projects and effectively distribute the resources; we form a responsibility matrix denoting each manager's place in the project.

PMC assumes the responsibility for the distribution of resources with the purpose of improvement of the employees' efficiency. Controlling the projects and employees in charge PMC appoints the most appropriate persons to top-priority projects, and watches over the project until it's finished. It also removes repeating tasks, raises the productivity and provides the strictest attention to the top-priority projects.
